Twisted Oak Pottery is owned and operated by Nathan Himes, a potter with 18 years of experience based in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to creating work in his spare time for Twisted Oak, Nathan works as a full-time pottery instructor (known for his ‘punny’ jokes) and a father of two.
Nathan draws inspiration from trees, nature, and all things fantasy, including beloved works like The Lord of the Rings. In his creations, Nathan strives to balance functionality with artistic form, often adding whimsical and unique elements. He particularly enjoys incorporating fantasy motifs—goblins, dwarves, elves, and other imaginative characters—into his functional pottery pieces.
